About our "Fashion Fundraising" Program

    Fundraisers for Schools & Groups

    Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff has designed several options for fundraisers. Most of our items are in the $3.00 - $10.00 range, priced for young shoppers. We try and have as many items as possible at the $5.00 price point.

    For most of our programs we do not require any money "up front" from your group. Many of the programs are add-ons to existing programs which will generate more money for your group or can be done at the same time as other programs. In addition to the ideas below we can tailor a fundraiser to your needs. Some of the options include:

    NO Hassle Fundraiser

    Here is the simple procedure:

    About a week before, we send you a flyer to post and an email to send to the teachers.

    We set up the jewelry and other items in your lounge (or room of your choice) about one hour before lunch.

    It takes about 20 minutes to set up. The teachers and staff shop for themselves or for gifts. We have gift boxes.

    We take the money, check or VISA, you take the jewelry. (What a concept)

    NO catalogs, NO order forms.

    As we leave we hand you a check or cash for 20% of the total sales. If your total sales are over $500 the bonus increases to 25%. You have money for any fund or charity you choose. (We have been told many groups use the money for a "social" fund, coffee donuts, meetings.)

    Most groups we do this for view this as a fun, quick, no-hassle way to make between $100 - $200 dollars.

    We DO take credit cards.

    It works similar to book sales except you walk away with the product.

    Carnivals, fairs, harvest festivals, or community days, etc.

    We participate in your carnival, fair, harvest festival or community day, etc. and pay a Sponsorship fee or percentage to your group. We can participate as an added bonus to anything you may have in place. In addition we have some interactive games for children and adults to play at the carnival and we supply the prizes.

    Boutiques

    We participate in your group run holiday boutique.

    Spirit Shops

    We sell or consign products to you for your "spirit shop". These are weekly or monthly events to sell a small amount of items that are normally school related. We can consign different products so students are seeing "fresh" items all of the time. This helps in two ways. The first is it give the students the opportunity to buy new items and raise more money for your group on a year round basis and second it builds some excitement for students to see some new and different items.

    Buy Wholesale

    You buy products directly from us at wholesale prices.

    Santa or Holiday Shop

    We set up a "Santa Shop" or "holiday shop" for students and adults to buy gifts. A percentage given to the sponsoring group. Prices of products range from $1.00 to $20.00.

    Shopping Party

    We set up a "shopping party" at your school for teachers and adults to buy items and have a percentage given to the sponsoring group. This is normally a 1 day 4 hour event. These events have a large assortment of jewelry and gift items geared toward adults.

    Some Quick Facts

    Looking for something different for your group? We offer a "Night of Fashion" fundraising program. Although each program can be tailored to your group, the basics are the same.

    Your customers visit our website and order any items they would like from the website. We assign your group a CODE. When your customers checkout they put the code in the box provided. The customer pays just like any customer and the credit goes to your group. We handle all of the collection of the money. At the end of the fundraiser (normally 2 weeks) we give you a report of all of the sales and the commissions earned. About 2 - 3 weeks later we deliver the product to the fundraising coordinator and they make arrangements to deliver products to the customers. We can also arrange for a "drop - ship" program if that is what your group prefers.

    Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff will be adding over 100 items per month so by the fall 2006 your customers will have over 500 products to choose from.

    Can work at the same time as any other program - Because the products are unique and are not seasonal your customers could buy these products plus other fundraising products since they really don't compete. People will always need and want our products

    Your Incentive

    Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff gives your group a 20 - 25 % commission. We have a two-tier program. The minimum commission is 20% and if your group does sales of over $3,000 they commission on the entire event goes to 25%. In addition we offer merchandise incentives to the top producers in your group in the form of merchandise credits. The example incentive table is below.

    Tips for success

    As much as every group is different, some things are the same. While the website is the "backbone" of the program, sales will increase if potential customers can see and touch the product.

    For smaller groups we always recommend a party for the members of your group to see the quality of the merchandise. Also a party environment has shown to get people more excited to buy when friends encourage them with praise and compliments. We also bring merchandise so those attending the party can walk away with their new goodies that they can show off to friends, which always encourages them to buy.

    For larger groups we also encourage parties. In addition we encourage the group to have the merchandise on display for a couple days so everyone has a chance to see and feel it. Again we try to have inventory on hand so customers and fundraisers can walk away with product that day.

MyFashionGoodies.com is the online store for Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff, a division of Lewis & Linn & Associates. Lewis & Linn was founded in 1988 in Phoenix, Arizona as a promotion company serving clients in the fair and festival industry. Past and present clients include Citibank, MBNA, Sticker Dude, Cowboy Junk, Wal-Mart, Discover, American Express, Car & Driver Magazine, Import Tuner Magazine, Thinklink and many others. Over the years we have assisted clients at events including the Phoenix Open, Barrett Jackson Classic Car Auction, NFL games, NHL games, college promotions and many more.

In 2004 we opened the Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff Division and have been selling men's and women's fashion accessories at large public events and small private events. Some of the public events we have participated in include the New Mexico State Fair, Arizona Women's Expo, Arizona Bridal Expo and the Scottsdale Interior Home show. We also participated in several fashion shows, office parties, home parties and holiday boutiques.

As the business develops we continue to add exciting new products. The business started with the concept that people enjoy nice things at reasonable prices. In addition, in this crazy world where no one has time to do anything, it is nice to relax with friends and SHOP. At parties, boutiques or truck shows clients can relax and find out about the newest trends. Our buyers are constantly visiting trade shows across the country to bring back new products and ideas to keep us on the leading edge of the fashion world. Our goal is to find the coolest "goodies" for you. Our merchandise is constantly changing which makes it fun for you and our staff.

Let's "Party"

We provide a low key and fun environment to shop. We have no presentation, we come and set up the merchandise and let the hostess and her guests check it all out. Our party business continues to expand because our hostesses want us back with new "goodies" for the next season. New customers we meet at parties want to do their own parties so our calendar fills up quickly.

Originally we called these "purse parties" but since we offer such a large assortment of merchandise we now refer to these as "A Night of Fashion."

"A Night of Fashion" is a great way to earn accessories for free! It is also a great excuse to see your friends and family. Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff will bring a large assortment of the latest designer inspired purses and accessories for you and your friends to choose from. The hostesses enjoy providing some food and beverage goodies and Belts, Bags & Cool Stuff provides the shopping "goodies."
